The People Equation is a Human Resource consulting boutique business owned and operated by Sunil Khambaswadkar, CHRE.  

Our name reflects our underlying belief that the success of any business will depend on the ability to leverage the potential that it's people offer to that business.  If your people are engaged, motivated and inspired, that will bring success to your business, giving the biggest competitive advantage.  Our mission is to help organizations enable their people potential.

We are based in Mississauga serving clients in Canada and internationally.

Being a start-up, we offer personalized and customized service and solutions to meet the needs of our clients.  We will bring on additional specialized resources depending on what is needed for the assignment.

Meet Sunil:

Sunil is an experienced and accomplishment human resources professional with 40 years of global experience working for renowned organizations.  Most recently he was the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) for one of the most successful university campuses in the world that has become a model for global education required for today’s inter-dependent world in the twenty-first century.  Sunil has worked in various industries that include higher education, software development, marketing services, metal, and consumer products.  He has worked in Canada, the Middle-East, and India and his responsibilities have spanned over several international locations including the United States.  Sunil has a graduate degree in HR, is a Certified Human Resources Executive (CHRE) from Human Resources Professionals Association (HRPA) Canada and a Results Certified Coach (RCC) from the Neuroleadership Institute.

In his career, Sunil has helped people at all levels including professionals, managers and executive leaders embrace and practice sound people management practices helping them contribute to their businesses and grow professionally.  He is able to understand the broader business vision, relate to the needs of his client, and identify imperatives from people and culture perspective that need to be implemented to align with those needs.  He has ability to develop and execute HR strategies and programs in support of this alignment.  He has deep understanding of various HR disciplines and techniques and appreciation of how those should be implemented to add value to business.  With a strong foundation and commitment to values such as excellence, personal integrity, transparency and ethical behavior, Sunil built his career and reputation working for diverse industry segments.  Read more about Sunil’s professional career in his resume here.


Some fun-facts about Sunil:  


He spent his early school years in a village in India where some of his full-year classes were held in the school compound under a tree – how cool!  For his work and leisure, he has traveled to 20 countries!  It seems he belongs to an HR family – three of his cousins and two of his daughters are also HR professionals!

Sunil lives in Mississauga with his family.  He maintains active interest in following current events and news, loves helping with family chores, enjoys walks.  His recent enjoyable pastime is spending time with his young grandson when possible.
